Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina Announces Kelly D. Webb as Vice President of Development & External Affairs
SANFORD, N.C. — June 2026 — Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina (BGCCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly D. Webb as its new Vice President of Development & External Affairs (Chief Development Officer).
This newly created executive leadership position reflects BGCCC’s commitment to strengthening philanthropic investment, expanding strategic partnerships, and building the infrastructure necessary to support sustainable growth and greater impact for youth across Lee, Chatham, and Harnett Counties.
Webb brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in resource development, external affairs, strategic partnerships, and communications for mission-driven organizations dedicated to improving outcomes for young people and communities.
Most recently, Webb served as Vice President of External Affairs for Communities In Schools of North Carolina, where she led a comprehensive statewide strategy integrating fundraising, communications, and partnership development. Under her leadership, the organization achieved a 455% increase in revenue over four years while expanding statewide visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Her career also includes leadership roles with Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix. Throughout her tenure with the Boys & Girls Club Movement, Webb successfully expanded grant funding, secured transformational philanthropic investments, led major capital campaign efforts, and cultivated innovative partnerships that strengthened organizational sustainability and expanded opportunities for young people.
“Kelly’s appointment represents a significant investment in our future,” said Dr. Fallon McIver Brewington, Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina.
“We are building an organization that is positioned for long-term impact, one that can meet the growing needs of youth, families, and communities across our region. Kelly brings the strategic vision, relationship-building expertise, and proven results necessary to help us scale our mission and deepen our impact. Her leadership will play a critical role as we continue expanding opportunities for young people and strengthening the support systems that help them thrive.”
As Vice President of Development & External Affairs, Webb will oversee all fundraising and external engagement efforts, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation and government grants, communications, marketing, and community relations. She will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, staff, and community stakeholders to advance BGCCC’s mission and long-term strategic priorities.
“Kelly brings the experience, credibility, and results-driven leadership necessary to strengthen our philanthropic foundation and expand community support for our work,” said Kyle Shipp, Board Chair. “Her appointment reflects our Board’s commitment to ensuring Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina has the resources, partnerships, and leadership needed to serve more young people and create lasting impact throughout our communities.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Kelly to the BGCCC family,” said Xavier Ellis, Board Vice Chair and Resource Development Chair. “She has an exceptional track record of building meaningful relationships and driving sustainable growth. Her passion for youth development and commitment to community impact make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”
Webb’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for BGCCC as the organization continues to expand workforce readiness initiatives, strengthen partnerships with employers and educational institutions, and increase access to high-quality youth development programs throughout its service area. These efforts support a broader vision of preparing young people for success in school, careers, and life while strengthening communities across Central Carolina.
“I’m honored to join Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina during such an exciting period of growth and momentum,” said Webb. “The organization has a strong reputation for changing lives and creating opportunities for young people. I look forward to working alongside our staff, Board, partners, and supporters to strengthen our impact, build innovative partnerships, and ensure every young person we serve has the resources and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.”
